Bio

Melodic metal from Stamford, CT.

Lyra’s writing style blends melodic death metal with other elements from progressive to power to Gothenburg, with symphonic elements to round out the edges. Some of Lyra’s influences include Wintersun, Mors Principium Est, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Symphony X, Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, and Eluveitie.

Lyra has been in flux after a few lineup changes, but looking to get back up and running with some legit new material.

This is where the beast lives

The monster was seen living in a hollow on the northeast side of Linton Hill, a spot still known as the “Worm’s Den”, in Roxburghshire on the Scottish borders. It was seen emerging from its lair at dusk and dawn to ravage the countryside, eating crops, livestock and people. It has proved invulnerable to the weapons ranged against it, and the surrounding area has become ruined by the beast’s predations.
